My Pool Salt water Chlorine Generator isn't working correctly??
We just got an intex model 8110+model 51 saltwater system for our intex Above the ground Easy-set pool. it is a 18 ft by 48 pool, and we have tested the water ourselves with the strips, and it says that the water-chlorine lvl. is perfect, but when we take it to the local pool store, they say that there is no chlorine in the water at all. Any information on this matter will be appreciated. By the way, I am sure that we have the right amount of salt in the pool.
It's entirely possible those test strips of yours are history. The pool shop uses what's called a titration test, when it checks your water. It's far more accurate than those silly test strips. Perhaps buy a cheap 3 way test kit that does pH, Cl and TA?
